Tunguska Bark // 1.24 Grams
This specimen was acquired from the Bethany Sciences collection and comes in a display box with a Certificate of Authenticity.
This is genuine bark from a tree near the epicenter of the Tunguska explosion. Most Tunguska bark contains burns in the interior of a ring, while this unique specimen displays charring on the bark itself. Nobody knows what the Tunguska event was for sure but a comet or meteorite likely exploded in the atmosphere and never hit the ground. Some areas in the middle of Siberia were flattened and burned. This is a piece of bark from the center of that explosion.
