Maroon Wines is located in the prestigious Coombsville AVA, a unique tapestry of growers and vintners, generational farms, and neighbors. Maroon Wines embodies Napa Valley and what it has represented since its inception as an American Eden - they are farmers and grape growers, first and foremost. Their legacy is rooted in supporting their fellow neighbors and friends. All Maroon Wines are grown or sourced from small family farms, from single vineyards and are 100% varietals.

Winemaker Paul Maroon became interested in winemaking as a young man helping his uncle make wine. After earning a college degree on the East Coast, he came to California for his MBA. He always knew that Napa Valley was the place to be. In 2000, he realized his dream and began his life as a vintner.

For ten years Paul sold his Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from his Coombsville vineyard to Joseph Phelps. During this time, he made two barrels of wine for himself and realized the quality of fruit his vineyard could achieve as a single varietal, single vineyard wine - and decided to create Maroon Wines.

The 2015 Maroon Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon was made from the grapes harvested from the Estate, as well as friends and neighbors' vineyards in the Coombsville AVA, and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2015 vintage was small in yield throughout Napa Valley, which resulted in well-extracted wines with slightly firmer tannins.

Partially aged in new French oak, this wine opens with an aromatic nose of beautiful dark and red fruits. These notes continue to express themselves through a bold mid-palate with structured tannins, ending with a long finish. Pair with grilled meats, BBQ or pasta. This is a stunning example of a Cabernet Sauvignon from a great vintage in Napa Valley.
