Product Description

Being offered today is an EXTREMLY RARE, AND I DO MEAN RARE, PAIR OF $ 5 NORTH AFRICA LATE FACE CHANGEOVER NOTES!!

This is the ONLY pair that exists. There are no other Changeover pairs in this series. The Schwartz-Lindquist reference lists only one $5 North Africa changeover pair and this is it!

This pair truly is ONE OF A KIND. There is nothing else in the world that compares! This is your chance to own something no one else can.

This interesting pair should command close attention from any serious collectors.

If you are an avid collector of true quality currency, then these notes are for you. This opportunity is for the discerning currency enthusiast who has been waiting for a TOP QUALITY offer such as this. So, if you are looking for something out of the ordinary, then look no further.

Both of these notes are graded very high.

The first note is graded by PMG in 64 Choice Uncirculated Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ). Serial Number: K 60154284 A

The second note is graded by PMG in 65 Gem Uncirculated Exceptional Paper Quality (EPQ). Serial Number: K60154285 A

This pair of notes is known as the Plate 307 Late Finish Face Plate Changeover Pair.

The first note has a Friedberg number of Fr# 2307. The second note has Friedberg number of Fr# 2307 LFP – LF Plate # 307. The LFP stands for Late Face Plate

Something new they are doing with the holders is to add the serial numbers of the pair on the back of the holders (see pics). This shows that the notes are a pair and should not be separated.

The first note in this lovely changeover pair is the usual $5 North Africa note. The second note is an unusual $5 North Africa which has the late finish face plate of 307.

Work on face plate 307 was started on April 6, 1936. Then the plate was stored in the plate vault until its "discovery" in 1942. The plate was finished on July 3, 1942, and it was then put to use from July 9, 1942 to June 3, 1943.

This means that face plate 307 has a macro size plate number, but plate number 307 comes from the micro size plate number range. This was the result of BEP economy measures during World War II.

The notes are encased and sealed by PMG. Every PMG certified note is backed by the industry leading PMG guarantee, which provides greater protection for both BUYERS AND SELLERS.
