Unlike traditional alarm clocks that use loud noises to jerk you awake or phone sounds that can be pleasant, but are too easy to ignore or turn off, Morni is a sleek, egg-shaped alarm that makes a simple, modulated beeping with quiet vibrations, and it turns off when you squish it.

It's made of super soft silicone with no buttons or switches, and also works as an ambient bedside light, with 9 colors, a flashing mode, and a "breath" mode. To turn off the alarm, you have to squish, roll or rub it 5 times, which offers a pleasing tactile sensation, but also means you can't just slap the snooze button and fall asleep again.
