Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, c. 26th-30th Dynasty, 664-332 BC. A very large Egyptian green glazed faience amulet of the dwarf god Bes, represented in his classic stance; standing, nude, hands resting on his hips, wearing the feathered headdress. With an integral base, and a suspension loop on the back to be worn in antiquity. Very nicely preserved, with much of the green glaze remaining.
